Needs, Inc. is a non-profit multi-service agency that has been serving Cheyenne and Laramie County residents in times of crisis for over 35 years. Our mission is to provide our clients with the basic necessities of life and the tools to help them improve their lives. The essential services we provide to our clients include emergency food provision, clothing assistance, referrals to other health and human service agencies, school supplies, holiday and birthday connections, and case planning.
Programs & Services
General Services: Not only have our resources and staff grown over the years, but so has our reach. The only official Food Bank in Laramie County, Needs, Inc. continues to provide food, clothing, household goods, referrals, and other related emergency and crisis services to Laramie County residents in need. In 2007, we provided nearly 16,000 food boxes for a total of 237,375 meals.
Operation Back to School: Beginning in the late summer and early fall and extending throughout the school year, Needs, Inc. provides income-qualified families with required school supplies, including back packs, pens and pencils, notebooks, and crayons. In August 2007, 1,472 students were served. This was a 62% increase over the previous year!
Toys for Tots: Each year, Needs, Inc., the Marines, and the Fleet Reserve partner to provide Laramie County's income qualified children (birth to age 17) with new gifts.
Adopt-a-Family: Local agencies, businesses, and individuals can "adopt a family" for the Christmas and/or Thanksgiving holidays, providing food for a holiday meal and new gifts to our clients who have expressed an interest.
